Airmetria Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2 November 2026.
Who is responsible
Askås & Co AB ("Airmetria.ai") is the controller of personal data processed through Airmetria. For privacy questions or requests, contact privacy@airmetria.ai.
Information we process
Depending on the features you use, we process:
- Account and profile information, preferences and connected-service identifiers and access credentials.
- Training information you provide or authorise us to obtain from connected services such as Strava, including activities, routes and location, sensor measurements, equipment and training history.
- Goals, planned workouts, training availability, wellbeing check-ins, post-workout feedback and derived analyses and recommendations. This may include health-related information, such as heart rate, sleep, illness or pain.
- Technical and support information needed to operate the service, such as connection, error and security logs and messages you send us.
Account information is needed to provide access. Other information depends on the features and connections you choose; missing information may limit those features or their accuracy.
Why we process information
We use your information to provide your account, training analysis, planning, personalised coaching and requested integrations; to provide support; and to maintain the reliability and security of Airmetria.
Our legal bases are performance of our agreement with you for the service, and legitimate interests in operating a secure and reliable service for security and troubleshooting. Processing health-related information relies on your explicit consent, with a separate optional consent for AI processing. You can withdraw consent on the Consent and privacy page or by contacting us; withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
Training recommendations use automated analysis of your training and profile. They are advisory and do not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on you.
Sharing and connected services
Service providers supporting hosting, communications, security and AI processing may process information needed for their tasks. Authorised personnel may access information for operation and support. Map and weather features may send location queries or technical connection information to their providers.
Glesys AB provides Airmetria's hosting in Sweden. OpenAI provides AI processing. Connected training services include Intervals.icu and Strava, and Garmin Connect when that integration is available for your account. Data transfers depend on the features and connections you choose.
Map tiles are provided by OpenStreetMap. Weather features use the Norwegian Meteorological Institute (MET Norway), and supported route-planning features use Geoapify. These features may disclose the requested map area or coordinates and technical connection information to the relevant provider. They do not need your complete activity history.
When you use an available workout transfer to Intervals.icu, we send the selected workout's title, schedule and structured steps. Merely connecting your account does not transfer workouts. Services you connect to Intervals.icu, such as MyWhoosh, may receive them according to your settings there. Those services process received information under their own privacy policies.
Garmin Connect
When you separately allow Health sharing in Garmin and the health feature is enabled, Airmetria imports new daily sleep, resting heart rate, HRV, steps, stress, Body Battery changes and available fitness estimates for your private health statistics. Availability depends on your device and measurements. Valid Garmin values take priority over Intervals.icu for the same metric and day, with source information retained. These directly imported health records are not shared with OpenAI or external MCP applications in the current version. Disconnecting or withdrawing health permission stops their use in these charts; retained records can be deleted with your account or through a deletion request.
When the Garmin Connect integration is available and you choose to connect it, Airmetria uses the activity information you permit Garmin to share to display and analyse your training. Depending on the activity and permissions, this may include original activity files, timestamps, location, heart rate, power, laps and device information. Where the same activity arrives through more than one connected service, we retain source information and reconcile verified copies to avoid counting the activity twice.
Direct workout transfer sends the selected planned workout's name, instructions, structured steps and calendar date to Garmin. An account connection by itself does not publish a workout. Health and recovery data, courses and other capabilities are used only when the corresponding feature is available, activated and permitted. Garmin permissions, Airmetria health consent and optional AI consent are separate choices.
You can manage Garmin sharing permissions in Garmin Connect. Removing a permission stops the corresponding new processing once the change is received and verified. Disconnecting must stop new access; it does not by itself erase training history already stored in Airmetria. Contact privacy@airmetria.ai for access, correction, export or deletion requests.
AI transparency and your choices
With your separate, explicit AI consent, AI coaching uses OpenAI to process relevant training summaries, profile information and feedback to generate personalised explanations, workout reflections and planning suggestions. Analyses may run as part of a feature's workflow, including after you submit post-workout feedback. AI output can be inaccurate and should be reviewed before acting on it.
External AI applications may receive information only through a connection you separately authorise and within the permissions you grant. The receiving application is identified in that authorisation flow. Connecting Garmin does not authorise an external AI application or grant it access to your data.
Airmetria does not use Garmin data, derived summaries, prompts or responses containing it to train, fine-tune, benchmark, evaluate or improve AI models. AI and external-application processing of Garmin data will only be enabled where the applicable provider permissions and processing arrangements permit that use.
You can decline optional AI processing or withdraw your AI consent on the Consent and privacy page. Withdrawing AI consent stops new AI processing and external AI access without withdrawing your health consent. Withdrawing health consent also withdraws AI consent. A request already sent to a provider cannot be recalled. Reconnecting a training service does not restore withdrawn consent.
International processing
Airmetria's application and database are hosted on servers in Sweden. AI features use OpenAI, which may process information outside the EU/EEA, including in the United States. OpenAI’s Data Processing Addendum sets out safeguards for international transfers, including the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. Contact us for information about providers and the safeguards applicable to your data.
Retention and security
We retain account and training information for as long as needed to provide your account and training history. Retention also takes account of deletion requests, security needs and applicable legal obligations. Technical logs are retained according to their purpose, including investigating errors and security incidents and demonstrating actions taken. Backup copies are retained for 30 days.
Disconnecting a service does not itself delete previously stored data or copies already transferred to another service. Contact us to request deletion of your Airmetria data. Withdrawal pauses new training processing and sharing; it does not automatically erase stored history. Already transmitted information cannot be recalled from an in-flight request.
We use access controls, encrypted connections and protected credentials to safeguard information. Airmetria uses cookies and browser storage for sign-in, language preferences and application functionality.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction and portability of your personal data, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact privacy@airmetria.ai to exercise these rights or withdraw consent. We may need to verify your identity.
You can lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY) or your local data protection authority.
Changes
We update this policy when our processing changes and provide notice of material changes as appropriate. The date above identifies the latest update.
